I agree the change in workforce was the area that changed most to me at home when I read through this section. Women stepping up and working in the workforce made a big shift in our world. Additionally, it brought us out of the Great Depression and improved our unemployment problem. Also, watching the racism and prejudice happen after the Pearl Harbor attack is an eye opening point in history that I hope we as a country never do again. It is always interesting to see how fear so negatively impacts our choices and how we treat others. Also, the way our country built victory gardens and helped support our troops during this time is one of the many ways that shows we were united and working together to support our country and troops.
