Hello Ernie,
It is honestly powerful to see how many different groups came together in the 60's and 70's to fight for their rights and demand to be seen and heard. As a young women, I feel grateful for these efforts and bravery as they built the foundation for the freedoms and protections many of us humans benefit from now. What stood out to me is how identity is the center of these movements. People were gathering for equality but also standing in their power of their right to exist as themselves proudly. These protests were not just about policies but very personal and emotional responses to generations of injustice. Yet somehow we unfortunately still have a long way to go when it comes to inclusivity and equality.
