1. Begin by opening the YouTube video you want to add to Moodle in one web browser tab and your Moodle forum or page or other ATTO item open in another browser tab.
  2. In YouTube, copy the URL of the video (this can be found in the address bar, the share dialogue box, or several places in studio.youtube.com);

  3. Navigate into Moodle;
  4. In the ATTO text editor (when composing a page or forum post or any other content), paste the URL where you want the video to appear.

The video will be appear embedded in Moodle. The advantage of embedding over linking is that students are less exposed to advertisements and the other distractions common on YouTube.
