Why Due Dates?

Moodle has the option to set due dates for assignments including quizzes and forums. While due dates are not necessary for Moodle to function and setting the dues dates can be time consuming, it can be an effective support for studnets.

To set due dates, open the "Availability" options under the item description.

Each item for which due dates have been established appear in the "Calendar" block, the "Timeline" block, as well as the "Upcoming events" block. Further, students (and faculty) can follow these steps to send Moodle events to their Google Calendars:
