The default setting on many users iOS devices (iPhones and iPads) and some Macintosh computers is to open and edit PDF fields with Preview. 

Please be aware that the edits made to PDF files with Preview are not properly rendered when the files is uploaded to Moodle.

As of summer 2024, we have not identified a free option for editing PDF files in iOS devices so they can be reviewed and graded in Moodle.
