Adding Backgrounds to Zoom

Some individuals do not want their setting to be displayed in Zoom video conferences. Those individuals can use backgrounds. For best results, use backgrounds with solid colors (e.g don't have your bookshelves behind you) and use bright, but indirect, lighting. 

On your Mac or Windows computer:

1. Launch the Zoom app
2. Click your profile picture, then click "Settings."
3. In the left menu bar, click  "Virtual Background" 
4. Select one of Zoom's defaults or upload your own image.

On your mobile device:

1. Launch the Zoom app
2. Sign in and join a meeting.
3. Tap the options menu (three dots at the bottom right) to open the More menu
4. Tap "Virtual Background"
5. Select one of Zoom's defaults or upload your own.
