Students and Zoom Accounts
Completion requirements
Students can connect to Zoom meetings (through links in Moodle, email, or other source) without creating an account on Zoom. There are some situations in which a Zoom account is necessary:
- In order to host (start) a Zoom meeting, one must have a Zoom account;
- Students can create free accounts at Zoom.us or they can have an account created on GCC's lit of users by submitting a help ticket;
- Some faculty have begun pre-assigning students to break-out rooms, this requires students have accounts;
- If a student has created a Zoom account using their GCC student email address, then they ask to be included in GCC's list of users, they may lose recordings and scheduled meetings.
