Rating Forums
In order to have a forum appear in the grade book, faculty must enable ratings in the forum settings:
1) "Turn editing on" in the gear menu;
2) "Add an activity or resource;"
3) Select "Forum," and click "Add;"
4) Name and describe the forum;
5) Expand the "Grade" options and choose the correct category (this must be done when the forum is first created);
6) Expand the "Ratings" options; the mot commonly used "Aggregation type" is "Maximum rating" (by default only teachers will be allowed to rate);
7) "Save."
Once students have participated in the forum and you are ready grade their participation:
1) Click "Grades" in the navigation drawer;
2) In the grades drop down menu, choose "Single view," then the name of the forum you want to grade in the "Select grade item..." menu;
3) Click to "Override All" grades;
4) Enter the points and feedback for each student;
5) "Save."
