QuickMail is a block that is used to send email to students. It can also be configured for students to use.

To use QuickMail:

1) If you do not see the QuickMail block in the block drawer on the right margin of you course, enable it. Turn editing on. click "Add a block," in the top right of you course, click QuickMail in the list of blocks.

2) To send email, click the "Compose course message" link in the QuickMail block. Nocice you can edit who sees the message and who does not.

3) Notice the ATTO text editor allows you to compose email and there are supported user data fields, so for example, entering [:firstname:] in the text editor will have each student's first name in its place when the messages are composed.

4) Notice files can be attached to each email, and you can add a signature (which is separate from your Gmail signature) and schedule a time to send in the QuickMail editor.
