Using the Attendance Plugin
The Attendance tracker is used to create a way to track students' participation in class. If you select a grade for the item, then every class will appear in the gradebook. We recommend using the Attendance plug-in to track grades but then report attendance in the gradebook using a grade item.
To add an attendance item:
1) Click "Add an activity or resource" then "Attendance."
2) Once you name the item, click to "Add session."
3) Create the details for the first session, then open the button for repeated sessions.
4) use the controls to specify repeated sessions. Notice as well that you can allow students to record their own attendance.
5) To delete sessions (for example days off), select them in the list of repeated sessions, then click "delete" from the choose button.
6) To change the options for reporting attendance, click "Status set" from the more menu.
