Course Types and Modalities

Face to Face classes meet on campus at Greenfield Community College.  Usually, they meet 1-2 times per week. You will also have homework to complete outside of class times.

Hybrid (in person and online) classes usually meet on campus at Greenfield Community College for part of the course (for example, a lab in a hybrid science class) and also will have an online course portion.  

Online w/no set meetings.  Most of our online classes are this type.  There are no set meeting times (asynchronous) and the course will be in Moodle.  You will have deadlines and assignments where you need to participate regularly to show 'attendance'.   This is not a self-paced class, so you should expect to complete work each week.

Online w/set virtual meetings.  A few online classes have a regular class meeting held online at a specific time each week (synchronous) and there will also be course materials in Moodle and weekly deadlines/assignments.
