Artificial Intelligence at GCC
The TLIC is working to help faculty, staff, and students understand generative AI and it role in education.
One the first and third Wednesdays of the month, we host an AI Forum where everyone is welcome to ask questions about any question or concerns you have about AI. Sometimes we answer questions that arose from earlier forums and sometimes someone will present work they are doing. We always begin with your questions. The forums are held in S306 or via Zoom. In 2025-2026, a group of GCC faculty and staff attended the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) year-long AI symposium. As part of the symposium, the working group developed a template for faculty to use in their syllabi that identifies various applications of AI use in a class or assignment. Faculty are encouraged to use the syllabus statement as a means to clearly communicate their allowed uses of AI to students.
