Thank you for sharing. I found similar information as you. I think it takes people to endure loss and unfairness for true leaders to stand up and fight for what is right. These leaders go against the popular and standard public opinion of that time and fight for change, equality, and fairness. It required people to rally, talk about it, write about it, and form protests/groups to break the cycle of oppression for their people and cause. LGBT and woman faced these struggles just like many other groups. It is amazing to see the changes that occurred since then; however, I worry about many of the setbacks that I see in the world today and that there is still many practices/instances where these groups still face unfairness, lack of equality, and issues in the world.
