Early homophile organizations like the Mattachine Society were definitely the first groups that created a big change in the world and created a window toward public organization for the gay community. Harry Hays was a big advocate that create more fairness and equality because he was faced with inequalities and lack of just. These societies and leaders like Hayes stood up at pivotal moments to make change; and to form a strong public union to fight against these prejudices in the world. Women did the same thing for equal pay, equal rights to their bodies, and equal opportunities. Women stepped up to work during WW2 and got a taste of working and what life could be like. These changes were eye opening and started movements and causes to allow for change to occur. These movements, discussions, and groups made changes that we see today in the world.
