I really liked what you wrote about how the "freedom" that African Americans got after the Civil War did not mean that their suffering was over. And that although they were given their freedom they still struggled to live and create a life for themselves, because they were not often welcomed into society . I also thought it was interesting how you wrote about Andrew Jackson, how his views were different then Lincolns, and how that caused more conflict in the nation.
