I thought it was interesting how you wrote about the views of both the Confederacy and the Union going into the Civil War and how if the Union had not won the war there would have been a very different future for America. I also though how you wrote about the Union fighting to free slaves, and yet were cruel towards them at the same time is very important. And how racism and hatefulness did not go away after the victory of the Union.
