Hi, David! It's a pleasure to get to know you better and hear about your interests. I appreciate your perspective, especially in regards to your throwback to the Colonial history and the Puritan background, I do think that is a very important factor in our history as a country. I don't know much about Great Britains history, however you have raised interesting questions that have got me thinking of a new rabbit hole to wander down. I'm also interested in knowing why or how GB was able to abolish slavery over 30 years prior to the US! I think all of this kind of melds together to create a context that is crucial not just for understanding the Reconstruction and all that followed after.
