You have done a great job highlighting those main points that happened during the Reconstruction Era, including the troubles and problems experienced in that period. The 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments were extremely instrumental in granting former enslaved people those legal freedoms which had long been denied. I fully support your opinion when you say that the 14th Amendment is something really crucial among all the legislation. These provided equal protection under the law but also served to lay the ground for other, future civil rights battles. These amendments enabled African Americans for the first time to start their lives with access to education and healthcare and be able to buy land.

But the opposition, which came through groups like the Redeemers and the Ku Klux Klan, would demonstrate how hard these freedoms would be to fully realize. The attempt to intimidate black voters demonstrates how deeply white supremacy had been implanted into the social structure, even in the face of Reconstruction's legal victories. These acts of violence and voter suppression made the policies of Reconstruction far less effective. It is a powerful reminder that the fight for equality did not stop with the passage of these laws but in fact faced fierce opposition.
