I have graded your first week discussion postings. I applaud everyone for their efforts this first week. I understand that it can take some time to learn to navigate the content and expectations of the class. Remember to refer to the discussion grade rubric for a reminder on the grading expectations. Here are some of the reasons that students may have lost points this first week:
Initial Postings:
-No references to assigned content.
-References are not presented with effort to properly format.
-Content does not meet the 300-word requirement
Secondary Postings:
-too brief to show connection to content
-response is supportive but does not further the conversation.
Shout out to Taela, Cameron, Michael, Kevin, and Ernest for meeting all the requirements for full credit in their intial postings.
Also, kudos to David for an impressive secondary response to Jennica.
Keep up the good work everyone! There is the possibility of a grade bump at the end of the term for those who are consistent and try!
