Objectives

Upon completion of the workshop, students will:

?      Demonstrate familiarity and initial proficiency with online learning platforms, including GCC?s learning management system, Moodle, and other video conferencing platforms used in their classes;

?      Demonstrate confidence in engaging with online learning tools and technology, aspiring toward working competencies in self-navigated troubleshooting;

?      Demonstrate skills in self-advocacy and accessibility of available resources;

?      Demonstrate understanding in the differences between remote/online learning and face-to-face instruction;

?      Demonstrate capabilities in identifying and preparing for productive work space for remote learning, including identifying technology needs and advocating for resources when needed.

?      Develop specific strategies related to staying motivated and engaged and managing time and materials in the remote learning environment.
